For that purpose, they influence elections and hire extremist thought leaders such as Simon to shape political and social discussions.

However, when things turned sour with Simon, Revitalize sent their assassin, Julia Jayne (Alison Wright), to take him out. They realized that Muncie’s presence at the scene gave them a unique opportunity to shift the blame onto an opinionated TV personality and capitalize on it.

In the series finale, Julia is killed in a confrontation with Elena. Although gravely injured, the latter survives. Muncie is exonerated and gets to tell his story on national TV, exposing Kraintz. He later stops Demetrius from attempting to kill the data mogul and confronts the man himself.

Muncie ultimately doesn’t shoot Kraintz, having realized that he, too, is just another cog in the machine. Kraintz is cleared of the charges of killing Simon. And just when it seems he would get away unscathed, a member of Simon’s extremist organization, The Forge, kills him.

Born on September 11, 1928, in Delhi, Louisiana, Holliman began acting in the mid-1950s. He appeared in movies like Broken Lance (1954), The Rainmaker (1956), Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957), Don’t Go Near the Water (1957), Last Train from Gun Hill (1959), Anzio (1968), The Desperate Mission (1969), and Gunsmoke: Return to Dodge (1987). Holliman won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture for his outing as Jim Curry in The Rainmaker.

A jury in San Bernardino County, California, has ruled against Walmart in a lawsuit, awarding a truck driver and former employee of the retail giant nearly $35 million. The payout judgment comes after the jury decided that the company leveled inaccurate allegations of fraud against the driver and fired him without proper cause.

The jury has ordered Walmart to pay the truck driver, Jesus “Jesse” Fonseca, $25 million as punitive damages. Moreover, the company would have to shell out an additional $9.7 million for future non-economic losses. Fonseca and his lawyers filed a lawsuit against his former employer back in 2019.

Fonseca reportedly sustained an injury in 2017 when his Walmart semi-truck was hit by another semi-truck from behind during work hours, per the 2019 lawsuit. Further, the lawsuit claims that Fonseca opted for workers’ compensation to deal with his medical issues stemming from his injury, but Walmart failed to aid Fonseca in his attempts to follow his doctors’ instructions, which included not handling things more than 10 pounds in weight or driving commercial vehicles.

Walmart put Fonseca, who had been employed at Walmart’s Apple Valley distribution center in San Bernardino County for 14 years, on company-funded medical leave but he was reportedly put under surveillance. According to Fonseca’s lawyers, he was fired because he drove a personal vehicle, which he believed was allowed.

Mohamed Eldessouky, one of the attorneys representing Fonseca underscored the importance of the verdict and the role it might play in future legal disputes between companies and their employees. “If a company decides to question someone’s character and integrity, it must do so carefully and honestly,” he told CBS MoneyWatch. “Walmart should rethink how it treats the hardworking drivers who are the backbone of its business.” (CBS News)

Meanwhile, Walmart referred to the verdict as “outrageous” and claimed that it didn’t demonstrate the “straightforward and uncontested facts of this case.” A spokesperson for the company confirmed to CBS MoneyWatch that they will “pursue all available remedies.”

Musk seems to have paraphrased a dialogue from the same movie, in which Kirk Lazarus (Robert Downey Jr.) said something similar to Stiller’s Tugg about another character in the movie, farmer Simple Jack. In another post, Musk shared a clip of a related scene from the movie.

Stiller’s initial remark was also about Tropic Thunder, which, among other things, depicts Downey Jr. in blackface makeup. When asked during an interview with Collider if he could make the movie today, Stiller stated, “I doubt it. Obviously, in this environment, edgier comedy is just harder to do. Definitely not at the scale we made it at, too, in terms of the economics of the business.”

The Emmy winner later added, “The only reason we attempted it was I felt like the joke was very clear in terms of who that joke was on — actors trying to do anything to win awards. That was the most fun playground anyone in the history of television has ever had, because we owned the whole street. I know that street like the back of my hand. When someone shoots a commercial on that street, I know it instantly, because I know all those houses, I know the geography. It was such a fun place to write for,” he added.

Cherry also pitched exactly when the prequel could potentially take place. “And there’s times when I go, ‘You know what? I wonder if I could write Wisteria Lane in like, 1966,'” he speculated.

Bravo has greenlit the 12th season of Vanderpump Rules, but the series will undergo a complete reboot and bring in a revamped cast. This comes after the series encountered multiple issues when filming commenced last year for Season 11.

It all started when news about an infidelity scandal known as “Scandoval” circulated on the internet. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, a popular couple from the show, parted ways after the former learned about Sandoval’s affair with Rachel Leviss, who was also part of the cast. While the news of this drew impressive ratings for the tenth season of the show, it inevitably impacted the production of Season 11 as Madix and Sandoval didn’t get along.

The 12th season will go into production sometime in 2025 and have an all-new cast made up of current employees at SUR Restaurant and TomTom Restaurant & Bar. The names of new cast members of Season 12 will be revealed later. There will also be a Vanderpump Rules special commemorating the previous 11 seasons.

It was initially reported that New Blood would receive another season, but those plans were scrapped. Instead, Paramount announced a new show, Dexter: Resurrection, at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024, with Hall slated to return as the titular anti-hero in the project. When asked how he would reprise his role as Dexter in Resurrection if his character is supposed to be dead, Hall told Variety, “I don’t know what I am authorized to say other than, it’s really cold out there.”

Resurrection has a tentative Summer 2025 release window. According to Hall, it will pick up “right where we left off.” His above-mentioned comment about the cold is likely a reference to the freezing winter weather of the fictional small town of Iron Lake, New York, where New Blood takes place.

The international rights to Ron Leshem, the creator of the original Euphoria, and Hagar Ben-Asher’s Israeli juvenile prison series Bad Boy have been secured by streaming giant Netflix. The series, which now has a global release date window, was originally announced in March 2023 as the first joint co-production venture between Peter Chernin’s North Road Company and the Israel-based international entertainment studio Sipur. The movie was first shown to the public at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

Ron Leshem’s Bad Boy to release worldwide on Netflix in 2025

During a new interview, director Christina Voros noted that the death of Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) was “supposed to be a shock.” Toward the end of Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 11, Sarah speaks to Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) when a seemingly unassuming suburban couple pulls up beside her and asks for directions. One of them subsequently asks if she is Sarah Atwood. Albeit surprised, she confirms and is immediately shot to death with Jamie still on the other end of the call.

When asked about the episode’s structure and how the narrative eventually led to the death scene, Voros credited series co-creator Taylor Sheridan for it while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter. She added, “In terms of the execution, it is supposed to be a shock. It’s supposed to come out of nowhere. It is, I think, testament to Wes and Dawn’s talents as actors and the relationship they’ve created together on this show that you are so wrapped up in the ferocity of the argument that has just transpired beforehand that you don’t see it coming. She doesn’t see it coming. He doesn’t see it coming. So, it was all there in the writing.”

Voros revealed that she “gasped” when she read the scene.
