After four action-packed seasons, Superman & Lois is officially nearing its imminent end. The CW has unveiled the trailer for the superhero drama’s series finale, set to chronicle Clark Kent and Lex Luthor’s final battle on December 2, 2024. 

Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing’s Superman & Lois debuted in 2021. The fourth and final season arrived in October of this year. It stars Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) as title characters Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane, respectively.

Kid Danger gets in on the action in the newly released teaser trailer for Henry Danger: The Movie, a feature-length follow-up to Nickelodeon’s hit live-action comedy series. 

The original Henry Danger television series, which debuted on Nickelodeon in 2014, followed the adventures of teenage boy Henry Hart, who landed a job as sidekick to superhero Captain Man. In addition to fighting crime in Swellview, one of Henry’s jobs includes keeping his job a secret to everyone including his friends and family.  

Jace Norman reprises his Henry Hart/Kid Danger role for the follow-up movie. Other returning cast members include Ella Anderson as Piper Hart, Michael D. Cohen as Schwoz. and Frankie Grande as Frankini, with newcomer Glee Dango joining the cast as Missy Martin.

A feature-length Terrifier 3 making-of documentary is officially on the way. The upcoming documentary hits Screambox in early 2025, set to bring viewers an inside look at the production process of the hit indie slasher.

The Terrifier 3 making-of documentary is directed and produced by Gary Smart and John Campopiano. It hails from Cult Screenings UK, the team behind Pennywise: The Story of It and Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story. 

What is the title of the Terrifier 3 making-of documentary?

Variety reports that the documentary will be called Art Attack! The Dissection of Terrifier 3, billed as a “full dive into how the Terrifier 3 team brought various brutal kills and bloody effects to life in the latest slasher entry.”

Art Attack! The Dissection of Terrifier 3 will feature new behind-the-scenes footage as well as interviews with director Damien Leone, the film’s cast members, and producer Phil Falcone. 

“‘Art Attack!’ is an extraordinary look at how Damien, Phil and team took ‘Terrifier 3’ to new levels of horror. Fans will get an in-depth view of the artistry and craft that pushed the boundaries of the genre and lead to the #1 movie in America,” said Cineverse executive director of acquisitions Brandon Hill (via Variety). 

Compared to the first Terrifier outing, the third installment — similar to the second one — debuted to favorable reviews. The feature also impressed at the box office, earning over $18 million during its opening weekend. Overall, the movie has garnered over $87 million from cinemas worldwide. 

Terrifier 3 is now available for rent or own on VOD platforms, with the Blu-ray and DVD version releasing on December 17, 2024.

Hereditary star Milly Shapiro is returning to horror with The Hallowarrior, an upcoming horror thriller described as a post-apocalyptic feature “with a Halloween twist.” 

The Hallowarrior is written and directed by Ben Sottak, based on his short film Scavenger. The film, which has already finished production in Syracuse, N.Y., follows plague survivor Pumpkin (set to be played by Shapiro), who also happens to be the last girl on earth. 

Who else is in The Hallowarrior cast?

According to Variety, Shapiro will be joined by A Knight’s Tale star Shannyn Sossamon in the upcoming horror movie. Rounding out the cast are Ajani Russell (Betty) and AJ Bowen (You’re Next). 

Per the outlet’s description, The Hallowarrior will see Shapiro’s Pumpkin “scavenging the wasteland for supplies on the eve of Halloween. Pumpkin’s lonely holiday ritual is interrupted by the arrival of a savage gang of raiders at her doorstep, led by the fearsome Thalia (Sossamon). Outnumbered and armed with candy, wit and weapons, Pumpkin must ferociously fight back to survive the night.”

Sossamon also executive produces the movie in addition to starring.

Disney has released the teaser trailer for Lilo & Stitch, an upcoming live-action remake of the beloved 2002 animated classic of the same name. It is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025.

Per the official logline, Lilo & Stitch is a “wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.” It is directed by Marcel the Shell with Shoes On filmmaker Dean Fleischer Camp.

It Ends With Us, a romantic drama movie based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 bestselling novel of the same name, is coming to Netflix in the United States for its streaming debut. 

Directed by Justin Baldoni (Jane the Virgin), who also starred in the film as the lead character’s abusive husband Ryle Kincaid, It Ends With Us opened in theaters back in August. Director Dean DeBlois is defending Nico Parker‘s casting as Astrid in the upcoming live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon, stating that they have created a fantasy movie, not one based on “historical fact.”

Some have criticized the decision to cast a Black actress as Astrid, whose animated counterpart was White. DeBlois, who is also the filmmaker behind all three How to Train Your Dragon animated movies, has responded to the criticisms about Parker’s casting.

An Instagram user on a How to Train Your Dragon page pointed out that the voice actress behind the animated version of Astrid was America Ferrera, who happens to be a Latina. DeBlois then responded, sharing his comment via an Instagram post. He accompanied it with the caption, “Nico Parker is amazing. Just wait and see.”

“Exactly. We auditioned many actors for the roles, including actors who looked like their animated counterparts. But we chose the actors who best embodied the spirit and personality of the characters since the tribe in this version is made up of descendants of the finest dragon fighters from everywhere the Vikings had ever traveled (which historically was far and wide- Vikings mixed with many cultures),” DeBlois wrote. 

“Still, we’re crafting a fantasy, not historical fact, and all will be revealed in time. We’re not making a shot-for-shot remake. We just stuck close to key moments to honor the original – which I remain very proud of. The teaser features a few of those moments. Instead of a completely new tale, we aimed to embellish and deepen, without abandoning the story that fans love.”

FX’s Say Nothing has been criticized by the son of Jean McConville over the limited drama series’ “hurtful” and “horrendous” depiction of their mother’s execution. 

Say Nothing was hugely criticized by viewers due to its “absolutely wild” tone since the trailer was made available to the public. Though the FX series is a hit for both viewers and audiences alike, with a favorable Rotten Tomatoes score, some couldn’t help but criticize the series — and that includes one of Jean’s 10 children, Michael McConville.

What did the son of the victim say about FX’s Say Nothing?

In a statement shared by The Hollywood Reporter, Michael stated that his mother’s death is not for “entertainment” — at least not for him and his family, calling out the FX series for its “cruel” depiction of their mother’s tragic demise. 

“I just don’t think people realize how hurtful this is. The portrayal of the execution and secret burial of my mother is horrendous, and unless you have lived through it, you will never understand just how cruel it is,” said Michael.

According to THR, Michael has not watched the series and has no plans to do so.

CBS is considering expanding the Queen Latifah-led The Equalizer with a spin-off series.

The crime drama, which is a reboot to Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim’s series of the same name, recently returned for its fifth season back in October. CBS will introduce two new characters in Episode 16, aiming to launch an all-new series.

CBS eyes 2 co-leads for potential The Equalizer spin-off

Sources told Deadline that casting is already underway for Season 5, Episode 16. Per the outlet’s report, the network is looking for the roles of a younger female martial artist with an expertise with weapons who seeks Robyn McCall’s (Queen Latifah) help, and an older male who is a former CIA operative.

Both are guest-starring roles with a possibility to become series regulars should the spin-off move forward. Additionally, if the spin-off gets greenlit, it would mark The Equalizer franchise’s first time to stray away from its one lead character format — from the original 1985 series, the Denzel Washington-led film series, and the current CBS reboot led by Queen Latifah. 

It is also noted that the upcoming episode, which is scheduled to air in the spring, is not a backdoor pilot. CBS had been using the strategy to its other hit shows, having introduced new characters to see if they can create a possible spin-off out of a particular show’s regular episode. It was previously seen in Fire Country, with Morena Baccarin appearing as a guest star and will soon be leading Sheriff Country. 

“The series follows Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills as a former CIA operative to help those with nowhere else to turn,” the logline reads. 

In addition to Queen Latifah as the titular character, the hit crime drama also stars Lorraine Toussaint as Aunt Vi, Tory Kittles as Marcus Dante, Adam Goldberg as Harry Keshegian, Liza Lapira as Mel, and Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah.

The eerie teaser trailer for Yellowjackets Season 3 has been released, revealing the new season’s release date nearly two years after the second season concluded. 

The first two seasons of Yellowjackets garnered mostly favorable reviews from both critics and viewers, so much so that it immediately received a Season 3 renewal just a few months after the second season debuted. However, like most scripted series back in 2023, production on the third season was delayed due to the Hollywood strikes at the time.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the first two episodes of Yellowjackets Season 3 will premiere on February 14, 2025, for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers ahead of its on-air debut on Showtime on February 16.

The upcoming limited series is created by award-winning writer Samantha Strauss (Nine Perfect Strangers) with episodes directed by Jeffrey Walker (The Clearing). It is written by Strauss, Anya Beyersdorf (The Twelve), and Angela Betzien (Total Control).

The trailer opens with Dever’s Belle Gibson revealing that she was diagnosed with a stage-four tumor. As medical procedures failed to work, she opted to heal herself naturally through specific healthy lifestyle choices. Late Night with the Devil’s David Dastmalchian and The Twilight Saga’s Ashley Greene are set to headline the horror thriller The Cure from director Nancy Leopardi (Maggie Moore(s), The Donor Party).

The Cure is written by Unsane scribes Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer. Dastmalchian and Greene are set to play wealthy parents who harvest their daughter’s blood for vile reasons. The horror thriller has already wrapped filming in Los Angeles. 

Who else is in The Cure cast?

According to Deadline, Dastmalchian and Greene will be joined by newcomer Samantha Cochran. She will portray the 16-year-old adopted daughter of Dastmalchian and Greene, who will soon find out that her wealthy bio-tech billionaire adoptive parents are using her blood for wicked purposes. 

The rest of the cast includes Sydney Taylor (American Born Chinese), Tyler Lawrence Gray (The Girl in the Pool), and Dylan Flashner (Code Name Banshee). 

“The Cure is made in the tradition of classic horror and sci-fi films that are inspired by terrifying socio-political realities and advances in bio-technology. Like Ex-Machina, A.I., and Videodrome I believe we are on the cusp of a revolution in science and the big question is – who will benefit?” the director said in a statement (via Deadline). 

The Cure is produced by Showdown Productions’ John Ierardi and Bo Youngblood; Indy Entertainment, and Rebel Entertainment’s Natalie Marciano and Rock Jacobs. 

Dastmalchian is a known name in the horror genre, having recently starred in the hit Late Night with the Devil. He is also known for his roles in The Dark Knight, Prisoners, Ant-Man, The Belko Experiment, The Suicide Squad, Dune, Boston Strangler, The Boogeyman, and Oppenheimer. He can next be seen starring alongside Kate Siegel in the planned zombie movie Epilogue. 

Meanwhile, Greene — best known for her portrayal of Alice Cullen in The Twilight Saga — has recently starred in Some Other Woman and The Retirement Plan. Her other feature credits include The Immaculate Room, Aftermath, Bombshell, Antiquities, Kristy, LOL, and more.

James Gunn is teasing what viewers can expect from the Lanterns television series, as well as its potential premiere date. 

Since Gunn took on the mantle as the co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, the renowned filmmaker — known for The Suicide Squad and his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy — has been working on a number of projects that would launch the DC Universe (DCU). 

With the DCU officially launching with the premiere of Creature Commandos this December 5, Gunn also provided some information on when Lanterns can potentially arrive. 

“It’s really Creature Commandos, Superman, Peacemaker, Lanterns, Supergirl,” Gunn told IGN. “And then some things people don’t know.”

He added that Lanterns will premiere “around the same time” as Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26, 2026. The DC Studios co-CEO also revealed that they are “getting ready to go” into production on the Green Lantern TV series. 

What did James Gunn say about Lanterns?

While other details about the upcoming series remain under wraps, Gunn teased the approach they took for Lanterns and that the actors they chose for the series fit perfectly to the story. 

“The truth is Chris [Mundy] and Tom [King] and Damon [Lindelof] wrote an amazing series, like an incredible series. I’m so excited for people to see this. It’s very grounded, very believable, very real. The kind of things that you would never think that would be the truth about a Green Lanterns television series. And very human, adult and wonderful. And the story that they wrote fit a couple of actors who were of these ages and so that’s who they cast. Those were their choices. I totally backed them up. I love them,” Gunn also told IGN.

He added, “So I’m really excited for people to see what those guys have come up with. But everything is to serve the story. The story is always first. The scripts are always first. And we would never be making this show if Chris and the guys hadn’t turned in wonderful, beautiful scripts.”

Lanterns will star Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Kelly Macdonald as Sheriff Kerry, Garret Dillahunt as William Macon, and Poorna Jagannathan as Zoe. 

“The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland,” the synopsis reads.

Tom Hardy is wreaking Havoc in the first-look photos for Netflix’s upcoming action thriller written and directed by Gareth Evans. 

Back in July, Evans (the director behind The Raid) announced on Instagram that additional photography on Havoc had officially wrapped. The director also stated that they would spend at least 5-6 months in postproduction. 

“No trailer, promo materials will be released before the film is finalised and mastered so in a bid to temper expectations – don’t expect anything before the new year,” Evans wrote. 

However, although the trailer and other materials for Havoc have yet to be released, Netflix has shared two photos of Hardy in the upcoming feature. You can check out the newly released photos down below: 

When is the release date window for Havoc?

Along with the first-look images, it was also revealed that the action thriller will arrive on the streamer sometime in 2025. Havoc will also feature the likes of Forest Whitaker (Godfather of Harlem), Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet), Justin Cornwell (Training Day), Jessie Mei Li (Last Night in Soho), Yeo Yann Yann (American Born Chinese), Luis Guzmán (Wednesday), Sunny Pang (The Night Comes for Us), UFC mixed martial artist Michelle Waterson, and more. 

Havoc is said to be taking place after one fateful drug deal, centering on a bruised detective named Walker who is forced to fight his way through a dangerous criminal underworld in order to rescue a politician’s estranged son. Along his mission, Walker unravels a web of corruption and conspiracy in his city. 

In addition to starring as Eddie Brock in the three Venom movies, Hardy is also known for his roles in RocknRolla, Bronson, Inception, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Warrior, The Dark Knight Rises, Lawless, Locke, The Drop, Mad Max: Fury Road Legend, The Revenant, Dunkirk, and Capone, among others.

The White Lotus actress Haley Lu Richardson is set to star in Peacock’s espionage thriller Ponies, joining previously announced Emilia Clarke in a series regular role.

Peacock has recently ordered Ponies straight to series, with Clarke set to play the role of Bea. It is co-created by Susanna Fogel (The Spy Who Dumped Me) and David Iserson (Mr. Robot).

In addition to starring, Clarke will serve as one of the executive producers alongside Jessica Rhoades (Station Eleven), Fogel, and Iserson, with Katherine Bridle and Alison Mo Massey as co-executive producers.

What is Ponies about?

According to Deadline, Richardson will be playing Twila, “a small-town girl who is as abrasive as she is fearless.” The upcoming spy thriller will follow two Ponies (persons of no interest) as they work together to unravel a Cold War conspiracy. 

“Moscow, 1977. Two “PONIES” (“persons of no interest” in intelligence speak) work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. That is until their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR, and the pair become CIA operatives,” the series description reads. “Bea (Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila, is a small-town girl who is as abrasive as she is fearless. Together, they work to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.”

Richardson is known for her performances in The Last Survivors, The Young Kieslowski, The Edge of Seventeen, Split, Columbus, Operation Finale, Support the Girls, Five Feet Apart, The Chaperone, Unpregnant, Montana Story, and After Yang. 

She most recently starred as Hadley Sullivan opposite Ben Hardy’s Oliver Jones in Netflix’s rom-com Love at First Sight. 

Clarke, on the other hand, is best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. Her other credits include Spike Island, Dom Hemingway, Terminator Genisys, Me Before You, Voice from the Stone, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Above Suspicion, Last Christmas, Secret Invasion, and The Pod Generation.

Ponies is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) and Emily Mortimer (The Newsroom) have been cast in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy movie Ladies First. 

Thea Sharrock (the filmmaker behind Me Before You, The One and Only Ivan, Wicked Little Letters, and The Beautiful Game) is directing Ladies First from a script penned by Katie Silberman (Booksmart), Natalie Krinsky (The Broken Hearts Gallery), and Cinco Paul (Schmigadoon!).

Who else is in Ladies First cast?

Grant and Mortimer will be joining previously announced cast members Sacha Baron Cohen (The Dictator) and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) in the rom-com pic. 

Game of Thrones and Dracula Untold actor Charles Dance has also joined the cast of Ladies First, alongside Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve, Enola Holmes), Tom Davis (Wonka, King Gary), and Weruche Opia (Genius: MLK/X, I May Destroy You). 

The upcoming feature will center around a remorseless womanizer (set to be played by Cohen), who will soon find himself living in a female-dominated parallel world. As the stereotypical gender roles have been reversed, his situation will turn for the worse in the face of a strong female counterpart (Pike), who will complicate things further. 

The film’s producers include Liza Chasin for 3dot alongside Eleonore Dailly, Edouard de Lachomette, and Four By Two Films.

Grant is best known for his performances in Withnail and I, How to Get Ahead in Advertising, Warlock, L.A. Story, Jack and Sarah, and Loki. Mortimer, meanwhile, is known for Lovely and Amazing, The Pink Panther, Lars and the Real Girl, Shutter Island, Hugo, Mary Poppins Returns, Relic, and Paddington in Peru. 

Ladies First is an adaptation of Éléonore Pourriat’s 2018 French-language rom-com Je Ne Suis Pas Un Homme Facile (translated as I Am Not an Easy Man). The film, which debuted on Netflix in 2018, starred Vincent Elbaz and Marie-Sophie Ferdane. 

Netflix has yet to announce the release date for Ladies First.

Netflix has released the full trailer for No Good Deed, the streamer’s new dark comedy series starring Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano as a couple trying to sell their house that harbors a sinister secret. 

No Good Deed hails from Dead to Me creator Liz Feldman. All eight episodes are set to arrive on Netflix on Thursday, December 12, 2024. It also stars Linda Cardellini, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, Poppy Liu, Teyonah Parris, Ray Romano, and Luke Wilson. 

What happens in the No Good Deed trailer?

The trailer introduces Paul and Lydia Morgan (played by Romano and Kudrow, respectively) evaluating their house’s potential buyers. Their reason for selling? The Morgans wanted to start over. However, the house seemed to be concealing a dark secret  — and the buyers just wanted a safe and happy home of their dreams.

The official synopsis for No Good Deed reads as follows: “When Lydia and Paul decide to move on from their empty nest to forge a new life, they list their gorgeous 1920s Spanish-style villa located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles – and the real estate frenzy begins. Multiple families all race to buy what they believe to be their dream house, convinced it will fix all of their very different problems. The upcoming mystery comedy will also feature Matt Rogers, Kate Moennig, Chloe East, Rory Scovel, Wyatt Aubrey, Kevin Alves, and Linda Lavin as guest stars.

Apple TV+ has unveiled the release date for Mythic Quest Season 4, with the spin-off — titled Side Quest — also on the way. The announcement comes after the third season of the hit comedy concluded nearly two years ago. 

Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney created Mythic Quest, with McElhenney also starring. The workplace comedy, which premiered in 2020, centers on the team behind the fictional video game studio that created the MMORPG Mythic Quest. 

McElhenney stars as Mythic Quest creator and creative director Ian Grimm. He is joined by Charlotte Nicdao as Poppy Liwanag, David Hornsby as David Brittlesbee, Danny Pudi as Brad Bakshi, Ashly Burch as Rachel, Imani Hakim as Dana Bryant, Jessie Ennis as Jo, and Naomi Ekperigin as Carol. 

What is the release date for Mythic Quest Season 4?

The fourth season of Mythic Quest will arrive on Apple TV+ with two episodes on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. It will be followed by one new episode weekly through March 26. 

Per the synopsis, Season 4 brings the characters “under the same fluorescent office lights as the reunited team at Mythic Quest confronts new challenges amongst a changing video game landscape as stars rise, egos clash, relationships bloom, and everyone tries to have a little more work work life balance.”

After the Season 4 finale, the anthology series Side Quest will be debuting on March 26 with all four episodes. “An expansion of the Mythic Quest universe, Side Quest explores the lives of employees, players, and fans who are impacted by the game in an anthology format,” the official synopsis reads. 

Mythic Quest Season 4 hits Apple TV+ on January 29, with Side Quest arriving on March 26. The first three seasons of Mythic Quest are available to stream on the platform.

Lady Gaga is set to return to her horror roots. Fresh off the release of her latest single “Disease,” the singer and actress has been tapped to join Jenna Ortega in the highly anticipated Wednesday Season 2. 

Following her role as Harleen Quinzel in this year’s Joker: Folie à Deux, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning artist will be joining Ortega in the second season of the hit Netflix series. 

Entertainment Weekly reported Lady Gaga’s involvement in Wednesday Season 2, though details about her role are still being kept close to the vest. The outlet also added that the singer is currently filming the second season in Europe. 

The announcement comes over a year after Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary” went viral after fans of the show combined it with a clip of Ortega’s Wednesday Addams dancing. You can watch the dance scene down below: 

Lady Gaga is also known for her avant-garde and macabre music videos — a style that complements the Wednesday series. Though the artist previously toned it down (albeit still with a Lady Gaga touch in it), the singer recently returned to what she is most known for with the music video release of “Disease.” 

Lady Gaga also starred in Machete Kills, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, American Horror Story: Hotel, American Horror Story: Roanoke, A Star Is Born, House of Gucci, and the second Joker movie. 

What to expect in Wednesday Season 2?

No exact release date has been set yet for Wednesday Season 2, but it is expected to arrive on the streamer sometime in 2025. Apart from Ortega, most Season 1 cast members are also returning for Season 2 including Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Emma Myers, among others. 

The second season will also feature new faces, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor, with Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo guest starring. 

Other than the returning and new cast members, some details about Wednesday Season 2 remain under wraps.
